Welcome
HOMEWORKERS
Recognising the current statistic of approximately 60% of UK based retail travel agents are now homeworkers, the Jamaica Tourist Board has developed a targeted campaign of activities specifically for them.
To support this campaign, Donovan Donaldson’s role as Business Development Officer for the Southern UK has evolved and he is now responsible for activities relating to homeworkers. The Jamaica Tourist Board is the first NTO that has created a position of this nature and has already identified 50 homeworking groups in the UK.
In addition to hosting virtual and in person training events, the JTS’s commitment to this sector also includes hosting hybrid Fam trips where agents are hosted in Jamaica and have the mornings free to carry out their work commitments and then enjoy the destination in the afternoons visiting iconic resorts and participating in some of the signature attractions Jamaica has to offer.
Support for Homeworkers also include the creation of a support pack for agents who may be participating in consumer shows where the JTB will make a financial contribution towards the cost as well as provide brochures, Jamaica branded promotional materials, and pop up banners.
Agents are reminded to register and log all Jamaica holiday bookings on the travel agent portal www.jamaicarewards.co.uk where they earn cash rewards and homeworkers are invited to join the Jamaica Homeworkers register by scanning the below QR Code and completing the requested information.
This initiative is just one of several that the Jamaica Tourist Board has in place to support the sector and demonstrates its continued commitment to travel agents.
