Golf lovers should plan on playing a round of golf at the Cinnamon Hill Golf Club. The expert caddies are proudly Montegonian and have been rated some of the best in the world. Set on what was once a sugar plantation, this impeccable 18-hole course in the rolling hills overlooks the cerulean blues of the Caribbean Sea and is a favorite for both local and visiting golf enthusiasts.

The Montpelier Estate is another large plantation with a rich history dating back to the 18th century. This property is beautifully maintained by Chukka’s Jungle Outpost and invites you to mix adventure with history as you hike up to the refreshing Montpelier waterfall, zipline over the mysterious jungle, and go river tubing down the gentle rapids of the Great River with their well-experienced tour guides.

Bunker’s Hill Cultural Experience is one more adventurous way to explore some of the rivers and caves in Montego Bay while learning about the Tainos, Jamaica’s very first inhabitants. Enjoy an authentic Jamaican meal cooked while you explore then relax by the river as you watch for our beautiful indigenous hummingbirds.

Montego Bay Beaches

You’ll love the brilliant beaches in Montego Bay and there are many for you to enjoy. Doctor’s Cave Beach, right on the “Hip Strip,” is perfect for families. The fine sandy beach is gentle and shallow, allowing kids to splash around with glee. This is a superb spot to perfect your tan as the beach is wide with a handful of shady palm trees and lots of lounge chairs.

Aqua-Sol Theme Park offers some exciting activities right on the beach. It’s outfitted with go-karting facilities, water slides, and family entertainment to keep everyone enthused. Both of these beaches have restaurants serving up Jamaican eats to fuel the day's activities.

The 876 Beach Club is another beach option just outside the city. The party’s always kicking here with lively music and entertainment, a large floating water park for endless play, a sizzling jerk pan taking care of lunch and snacks, a well-stocked bar, and beautifully maintained grounds and facilities.
