Travelling to Jamaica and enjoying a vacation has been made easier. Here is what you need to know.
Do I need to get a COVID-19 test to travel to Jamaica?
No, Jamaica has removed the pre travel COVID-19 test requirement for all inbound travellers.
For arrival processing, all travellers are required to submit an Immigration/Customs C5 card and may do so online at https://enterjamaica.com OR complete the paper form issued in flight by the airline.

No, travellers do not need to be vaccinated.

Will my movements be restricted?
There will be no special movement restrictions or quarantine for visitors, but all persons are encouraged to voluntarily observe the standard protocols that apply to hand sanitization, mask wearing and social distancing while in public areas.

What if I test positive for COVID-19 while in Jamaica?
If a visitor tests positive for COVID-19 while in Jamaica, they will be required to isolate at their planned accommodation, or at a government facility for up to 10 days. For purposes of departure from the island before the isolation period ends, visitors may be released from isolation by a medical officer according to the rules of their country of destination and the airlines. If a test is required by the destination, then this requirement is to be complied with and the result known before release from isolation.

Do I need a COVID-19 test to return home?
Consult your home country travel and entry requirements website, contact your travel agent or the airline for detail. Certified labs are readily available at hotels and other nearby locations if you need a test.

United States citizens: Travelers are required to show a negative COVID-19 viral test result taken no more than 1 day before travel, OR documentation of having recovered from COVID-19, before they board their flight.

Canadian citizens: Pre-entry tests are no longer required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water. You must still use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada. Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children 5 years of age or older must provide a valid pre-entry test result, even if they are accompanying a fully vaccinated adult. Children who are less than 5 years old are not required to test, regardless of their vaccination status.
Set up your ArriveCAN account before you travel
You must use the ArriveCAN mobile app or sign in on a computer to enter your proof of vaccination, quarantine and travel information. Proof of vaccination and travel documents can be saved in your ArriveCAN traveller profile before any planned travel

Jamaica removes the travel authorization requirement and movement restrictions
Travel to Jamaica has become easier with the relaxation of COVID-19 travel restrictions. Effective March 1, 2022, travellers no longer need to obtain a Travel Authorization to travel to the island. In addition, mandatory quarantine order assignments have also been removed for all arriving passengers and persons are free to move within the island while maintaining social distance and mask wearing protocols in public spaces.
However, travellers 12 years and older will still need to provide a negative COVID-19 test (Antigen or PCR) conducted within 3 days of the date of travel at check-in for their flight.

For travel to the United States of America Only: 5-day isolation release protocols for Visitors
All departing visitors to include business travelers and members of the diaspora (not normally resident in Jamaica) who have tested positive and are asymptomatic can be released from isolation by MOH after 5 days, to travel on the 6th day. This applies to persons who are asymptomatic or who have mild symptoms and are improving (as per medical team’s evaluation).
For individuals who remain symptomatic after 5 days, the ten days quarantine period must be completed.

On receipt of a positive test, Canadian visitors are required to spend 10 days in isolation. After completing the isolation period, they are clear to travel to Canada with proof of a positive COVID-19 molecular test taken between 11 days and 180 days before the travel date.
