Reggae Month Week 3

RM 2021 Week 4

Reggae Month App

The month’ activities are aimed at making Jamaica a Mecca for Reggae Music while also showing the talents of Jamaicans in various fora. The events for 2021 are slightly different and will be held virtually due to restrictions on gathering and events due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

So grab your favourite Jamaican shirt, get your snacks and drinks and enjoy the nostalgia and memories from  the discussions or get your reggae rock on to the music of yester-year or listen to the talented children of artistes gone who now carry their legacies! Whichever you decide to do, we’re sure that your mood and outlook will be lifted in the month of February!

The series started in  Reggae Month 2019, attracting thousands of patrons at each stop, showing their appreciation as they warm to the authentic roots reggae experience delivered by the youthful voices of an emerging generation. Each staging also features one of our leading Reggae Ambassadors, having been blessed with the presence of the likes of Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Richie Spice, Daddy One, Josey Wales, Voice Mail, and many others.

Reggae Films Online

Films with a Reggae Music soundtrack, or which uses the music or the "livity" of the music in it, are regarded as one of the identifiable creative elements of the Reggae Industry. On the Friday evenings in Reggae Month we usually invite an audience to gather in Emancipation Park to view a set of Reggae Films - ranging from short films to feature length movies. This year they will be presented virtually on the Reggae Month Online TV platform.
