Capital & Credit’s extraordinary journey began 16 years ago with a group of businessmen, including Chairman and Group President, Ryland T. Campbell C.D. and Deputy Group President, Andrew B. Cocking.  The Capital & Credit Merchant Bank (CCMB) began operating on January 24, 1994 with an asset base of $ 30 Million. The Company, which was then the smallest of 30 merchant banks, survived the turmoil of the 1990’s financial crises to become a leading financial institution in Jamaica - a true testament of enduring strength.

Today, Capital & Credit is a group of companies, with the parent company being Capital & Credit Financial Group (CCFG).  The Company, which is listed on the Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchanges, has grown exponentially and now offers customers a broad spectrum of Banking Services, Investments & Securities, International Broker/Dealer Services, Unit Trust Funds and Remittance Services through its member companies: Capital & Credit Merchant Bank (CCMB), the flagship company; Capital & Credit Securities Ltd. (CCSL); Capital & Credit International Inc. (CCII); Capital & Credit Fund Managers Ltd. (CCFM) and Capital & Credit Remittance Ltd. (CCRL).

Over its sixteen years of operation, the Group has grown to surpass J$ 43 billion in Assets Under Management and over J$ 5 billion in Capital at the end of 2009.
