Description

Situated high on a hilltop overlooking the Bay of Ocho Rios, surveying the azure waters of the Caribbean, the Gardens embrace 25 acres of tropic splendour. A sparkling waterfall cascades down a rocky course with luxuriant plant specimens on all sides. Lush tropical trees form bowers with flamboyant blossoms every month of the year.

Poor Cricket Club: David Ellington a poor hackney carriage drive founded the Lucas Cricket Club in Kingston and funded it out of his own pocket. It was named after the first Englishman to bring a cricket team to Jamaica (1895), known as Slade Lucas. He produced two of the finest batsmen of this century – J.K. Holt Snr. and George Headley.
