Description

We invite you to spend the day with us on a tour to the interior of the Hilton private estate. The Hilton High Day Tour was established in 1983. The tour includes return transportation with a tour guide from your Montego Bay hotel or villa, a completely hosted and guided tour, Jamaican country breakfast, buffet style and complimentary drinks and rum punches. Join us on an adventure through the Jamaican countryside and visit the German Village and local primary school. A plantation luncheon with roasted pig and 12 exotic vegetables is reserved for you. There is entertainment by the plantation Calypso band and village children.

Discovering Jamaica in 1891: In 1891 300,000 tourists came to an International Exhibition held on January 27 to May 2 at Quebec Lodge in Kingston now “Wolmer’s School”. The Government built new hotels in Kingston and the rural areas to house tourists who wanted to tour the rest of the island, setting the foundations of the modern tourist industry. A group of Syrians decided to stay becoming the first ethnic group to settle here.
